HB1309 – This bill defines a service animal and gives businesses a way to say service animals only

HB 1178 (author) – Prohibits persons from intentionally misrepresenting an animal, or therapy animal, as a qualified service animal trained to perform tasks for an individual with a disability.

HB1679 (author) – directs the Oklahoma Department of Corrections (DOC) to assist inmates in obtaining state-issued identification cards and employment-related documents upon their release from custody. The bill requires the DOC to identify inmates who lack current identification and begin the process of obtaining a REAL ID Noncompliant Identification Card for them. The bill also mandates the DOC to provide inmates with various employment-related documents, such as vocational training records, work records, birth certificates, and Social Security cards. The bill amends existing law to authorize the DOC to coordinate with the Department of Public Safety to issue these identification cards, which will be valid for four years and non-renewable for most inmates. The bill also establishes procedures for the issuance, replacement, and fee structure of these identification cards.
